Luke & Ashtin // The Engagement

I said I was done photographing weddings and I meant it, but when I received an email from Ashtin, I knew I just had to do it.  It will probably be the most important moment to me that I'll ever photograph.  Ashtin, is one of three sisters who are probably some of the most influential women in my life and they don't even know it.  The bravest of sisters who've had to walk the toughest walk in life I've ever heard of, and they hold themselves with such a dignity and beauty that would (and I'm certain are) making their parents proud.  So as you can imagine my responding email was an absolute YES PLEASE!  These two are just as beautiful inside as they are on the outside.  

PJ & BECKY // 2 YEAR ANNIVERSARY

PJ & Becky are good friends of ours.  Well, some of our favorite friends.  Their 2 year wedding anniversary is coming up, and PJ and Becky have been the kind of friends that show up and help without being asked, so I knew I wanted to give back somehow.   

Despite this session being a HUGE help for me to build my new portfolio, I really wanted it to be these two, because well, I like them so much!  We quickly ran short on light as we chatted away at dinner longer than expected and ran around uptown dodging cars that seemed to only drive by when we wanted a photo, otherwise, the quiet upper Yucaipa was peacefully empty.
